What is LayerZero?
LayerZero is the standard protocol for moving information and assets between blockchains, public and private, with >$50B in transactional volume.

LayerZero enables application owners to define and control their own configurations for security and efficiency.

How does LayerZero
support enterprises?
Financial Institutions
LayerZero and Onyx Digital Assets
LayerZero provided interoperability capabilities to Onyx Digital Assets for a novel, end-to-end portfolio management POC. The initiative, spearheaded by Onyx by J.P. Morgan and Apollo under the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Project Guardian, marks an innovative milestone for the Wealth Management industry, demonstrating how blockchain technology can be used to manage large-scale client portfolios, execute trades, and enable automated portfolio management with tokenized assets.
Financial Institutions
LayerZero and Spruce
LayerZero is the interoperability partner for Spruce, Avalanche’s Evergreen Subnet driving on-chain finance innovation.
Telecom
LayerZero and Conflux
Conflux and LayerZero are collaborating on the upcoming blockchain-based SIM card (BSIM), co-developed by Conflux and China Telecom, allowing users the capability to transfer assets and messages between the Conflux Network and other chains supported by LayerZero.
Enterprise Software
LayerZero and GCP
Google Cloud is now the default oracle for securing messages on the LayerZero network, leveraging infrastructure run by one of the most security minded organizations in the world.

How does LayerZero work?
An Endpoint is a set of immutable, non-upgradeable smart contracts that handle transmission, validation, and receipt of data from a source chain to a destination chain. Endpoints sit at the core of the LayerZero protocol, enabling institutional applications to transmit data and exchange value at scale. Endpoints have been deployed on EVM, non-EVM, public, and permissioned blockchains, making the protocol truly blockchain agnostic.

LayerZero currently supports 50+ different blockchains.
Protocol Capabilities.
General Message Passing
Generic message passing allows for the transfer of any data between blockchains, including blockchain state information, assets, or other value.
Native Asset Transfer
Transfer assets securely between chains without the need for asset wrapping, middle chains, or liquidity pools.

  • Support Fungible or Non-Fungible Tokens through LayerZero’s OFT and ONFT standards
  • Native asset transfer with no transfer limits
  • Blockchain agnostic compatibility across public and private blockchains
Transaction Protection
LayerZero Pre-crime is a messaging feature that intercepts malicious transactions before they are delivered. Institutional application owners define their own business rules, and Pre-crime checks to verify all defined-rules are met before execution, stopping non-compliant transactions at the source.
Real-Time Data Analysis
LayerZero Scan is a block explorer that tracks all messages transmitted on the LayerZero protocol. LayerZero Scan is available via API, and whitelabeled for institutional customers or created as a separate private instance.
LayerZero in the press.
Frequently asked questions.
LayerZero is not a blockchain, it is a data transmission protocol that solves the holy grail problem of information sharing and asset transfer between disparate blockchain networks.
Blockchain networks aren’t cities or countries — they’re different planets. Interoperability allows for unified data and information sharing between disparate networks. Communication across chains enables a radically improved user and developer experience.
  • LayerZero allows for assets to securely transfer across chains without the need for asset wrapping, middle-chains, or liquidity pools. LayerZero creates the ultimate form of an extensible token contract with security and reliability at its core.

  • Applications have the flexibility to own their contracts, security, and fees.

  • Achieve blockchain-agnostic compatibility across public and private, EVM and non-EVM chains.

  • Drive endless customization and composability for applications with no transfer capacity limits
